Perenti Cafe opened in September 2002 and is still going strong after a change of ownership October 2014. The upbeat café features comfortable seating, vibrant colouring and art works by local artists.
The breakfast and lunch menu is interesting and varied, focusing on fresh ingredients and local produce. Dishes from the lunch menu include: Roast pumpkin, asparagus and feta pie, lime and chilli chicken curry, Thai fish cakes with Perenti sweet chilli sauce and the always popular quiches. Perenti’s menu also has a range of vegetarian and gluten free options.
The cake display is always full of tempting and decadent sweet treats. From caramel tarts, almond croissants, tropicana cake, chocolate brownie and the amazing passionfruit cheesecake. It’s hard to choose just one. Perenti also offers a range of gluten free treats including two nut muffins, berry friands and banana cake.
When visiting the Perenti Cafe, you will notice a wide selection of house made jam, chutneys and butters. See the preserves page for full details. There is also a freezer full of take home meals prepared on the premises. These make a delicious alternative to store bought meals.
Perenti features Toby’s Estate coffee and tea which is prepared by experienced baristas who pride themselves on their coffee. If coffee or tea is ‘not your cup of tea’, then there is always a fresh juice, frappe or milkshake to choose from.
